ORIENT STAR was born 69 years ago, in 1951.

The previous year, 1950, Tama Instrument was founded and began operating its watchmaking plant in what is now Hino, in western Tokyo. The following year, it changed its name to Orient Watch Company.

That was the year ORIENT STAR was born, with its concept of a shining star.

In 2017, the company was merged with Seiko Epson, which had been cooperating as a business partner for more than 20 years.

With the same ORIENT STAR brand and sincere devotion to watchmaking, the company will continue to perfect the art of mechanical watches for a new era.

We are proud to be at the forefront of mechanical watch production in Japan. With mechanical movement manufactured in-house, we can ensure the highest possible quality for our customers worldwide.
